Yoga Stretching for

Pickleball Players

at Dill Dinkers
5–6 PM; Tuesday, April 14
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Saturday, April 18

Pickleball is fun, energizing, and social—but it can also be demanding on the body. Tight hips, sore shoulders, and lingering stiffness are common, especially when the body isn’t given the time and attention it needs to recover.

This free class is designed specifically for pickleball players who want to:

  • Move more freely on the court

  • Improve balance and mobility

  • Reduce the risk of injury

  • Recover more fully after playing

  •

You don’t need any yoga experience. This is not about complicated poses—it’s about simple, effective movements that support the way your body actually moves when you play.

What to Expect

This session will focus on the areas most impacted by pickleball:

  • Hips and lateral movement

  • Shoulders and range of motion

  • Hamstrings and joint support

You’ll be guided through accessible stretches and mobility work that you can return to again and again—both on and off the court.

Many participants notice an immediate difference in how their body feels by the end of class.

Asana Alignment: Feel the Flow

Level: Beginners & Intermediate
Investment in Self: $25 per participant

This active, educational workshop invites you to refine and deepen your understanding of foundational postures commonly practiced in gentle and flow yoga classes. Your guide and seasoned teacher, Lori Gloeckner, will focus on alignment, thoughtful adjustments, and accessible modifications that support both stability and fluidity in your practice.

We will explore key poses including Warrior variations, Downward Facing Dog, Triangle, Tabletop, Cat–Cow, and lower-down from plank transitions. You’ll learn to recognize common misalignments and engage anatomically supportive actions that help you feel stronger, safer, and more connected in each posture.

This workshop is designed for beginners who want clearer guidance and confidence, as well as intermediate students who are ready to refine their technique and deepen their posture practice.

What We Will Cover

• 10-minute introduction exploring the role and benefits of asana in a yoga practice, with encouragement to move beyond “doing” the pose and into truly experiencing it
• 45-minute guided group practice with detailed alignment cues and anatomical engagement
• 25-minute applied practice time using a reference handout as participants explore and integrate what they’ve learned
• 10-minute closing meditation and savasana to absorb and integrate the work

Come prepared to move, learn, and feel the flow of alignment from the inside out!

A New Series

This event is part of our ongoing Yoga with Live Music series. Each gathering will feature different musicians, teachers, and uniquely curated experiences. The series is designed to celebrate artistic expression, present moment awareness and the subtle richness of being alive.

Yoga with Live Music

7:00–8:15 PM; Friday, May 8th at Hamilton Yoga Center

We are delighted to invite you to a special evening at Hamilton Yoga Center: Yoga with Live Music — an immersive, meditative practice accompanied by live music.

Jessica Lohrey will guide a gentle, slow-flowing class while musicians Michael Ronstadt (cello) and David Cridlle (guitar) improvise sounds and textures throughout the practice, creating a deeply immersive and resonant atmosphere.

What to expect:

  • A mindful flow to dissolve tension and create spaciousness

  • Minimal verbal instruction

  • Long, spacious transitions

  • An emphasis on breath and presence

  • A generous savasana with live instrumental accompaniment

The intention is to create a moving meditation — where the music becomes part of the breath, and the practice feels less like “doing” yoga and more like entering it.

The live instrumentation will weave through the room, creating a beautifully grounding, intimate, and spacious atmosphere.

SOLSTICE YOGA (Facebook Cover) (1).png

Solstice Yoga at Marcum Park: A FREE Event!
2:00–3:15 PM; Saturday, June 20, 2026

Join us for an all-levels summer solstice yoga practice outdoors at open and airy Marcum Park. The solstice marks a turning point in the year — the longest day, when the sun reaches its highest point before the light slowly begins to wane — and in yoga we honor these seasonal cycles as reflections of our own. Move with the rhythm of the sun to build warmth, strength, and steady focus, while pausing to reflect on what is coming into fullness in your life. Beneath the wide sky, breathe deeply, feel the breeze, reconnect with the earth, and stay afterward for refreshments and community as we celebrate the season together.

Pre-registration not required. This is a community event open to all. Please bring a yoga mat. Ideal for ages 14 and older. All fitness levels and yoga experience are welcome.

In the event of rain, class will be held at Hamilton Yoga Center (two blocks from Marcum Park at 136 N. Third Street, at the corner of Third and
Dayton).

Book a private event!

Perfect for sorority gatherings, birthdays, graduations, group bonding, or to simply unwind together!
