Class Description

What if your yoga practice wasn't about how far you can stretch, how strong you are, or how well you can “do” a pose—but about what you discover when you become deeply present in your body? In this immersive module, we explore āsana as a spiritual practice and a doorway into deeper awareness, rather than a pursuit of physical achievement. Drawing from the teachings of Swami Kripalu, we’ll explore the body as a container for prāṇa and consider how the practice of āsana can help us cultivate, direct, and integrate energy. Through sustained practice, breath, sensation, and inner awareness, we’ll begin to investigate what exists beneath the surface of the physical practice. What happens when we slow down enough to notice tension, emotion, habitual patterns, resistance, and the stories we carry in the body? Rather than trying to force, fix, suppress, or judge what arises, we’ll explore practices for meeting our experience with curiosity and compassion. This module invites you to experience āsana in a different way—as a practice of listening, awareness, and self-discovery, and as a pathway toward greater integration, healing, and freedom.
